Top Songs of 1963; #5

The next song to hit the top of the record charts in 1963 was “Our Day Will Come” by Ruby & the Romantics. The song, written by Mort Garson and Bob Hilliard and featured a bossa nova style  featuring a Hammond organ solo. The song was at the number one spot for just one week March 17 – 23) on both the Billboard Hot 100 chart and Cash Box chart. The group had other songs that made the charts but none of them ever got to the top 10.
