Top Songs of 1963; #14

The next song to hit the top of the record charts in 1963 was “So Much in Love” by The Tymes. The song was written by George Williams (lead vocalist of the group) and Bill Jackson.

The Tymes were from Philadelphoa. PA. After “So Much in Love” they would have a few other songs that would show on the record charts but none that reached the top spot on the charts.

“So Much in Love” was on the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for just one week; July 28 – Aug. 3. The song only got up to the #2 spot on the Cash Box record chart for that same week before moving back down the chart.
