The Greece Historical Society will present Vintage Game Day on Sunday, August 11th from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Greece Museum, 595 Long Pond Rd. The Society invites everyone to a special family game day to mark the opening of its new Vintage Games and Toys exhibit. The whole family can join in playing a variety of games throughout the museum and on its lawns and sidewalk. There will be croquet, toss-across, and skittles on the lawn, jump roping and hopscotch near the back porch, and games requiring no equipment at all such as Simon Says. Inside you can choose to play various games such as Chutes and Ladders, Sorry, and Bingo. Check out the tree-house styled dollhouse and the vintage games and toys on display in the new exhibit on games of yesteryear: Parcheesi, pick-up sticks, Monopoly, and Viewmasters. Plans for the exhibit over the next year include special craft Sundays, game tournaments, and a rotating selection of featured games. The event is free and children will be awarded small prizes.
