Genealogy swag

I was the Exhibit Chair for the 1996 FGS Conference so I had to visit the exhibit hall at the recent FGS Conference. I thought that I was going in to see what everyone was selling. As I look at it now, there is a pile of genealogy swag that I collected. There are sample magazines, pens, bookmarks, postcards, highlighters and even a letter opener. One booth was handing out cookies that were in the shape of the State of Arkansas (we were in Little Rock) and had a tag with their address and website. These advertising things work because there is not enough time to look over everything at the Conference and now that I have more time, I can go to their website and see more of what they offer. Plus it is fun to get things for free.
