NY Marriage Index

The indexes to marriages in New York State are online at Ancestry. The credit actually goes to Reclaim the Records who filed the Freedom of Information request to get the indexes out of the NY State Department of Health. In order to compile with the request, the Health Department needed to have their indexes scanned. …

One of the recent books scanned by the Rochester Public Library is “Early Marriages in Rochester, Monroe Co., NY and the Vicinity” by Myrte R. Haynes and Mary T. Douglas. New Online Book of Early Rochester Marriages

The Rochester Public Library has added “Early Marriages in Rochester, Monroe Co. and Vicinity” to their online collection of books. It appears to have marriages between 1818 and 1850.
