Mayflower Day – Sept. 16

Today is Mayflower Day. It celebrates the day that the Mayflower sailed from Plymouth, England, bound for the New World with 102 passengers. The ship was originally headed for Virginia¬† but stormy weather and navigational errors forced the Mayflower well off course.
