Mayflower Day – Sept. 16

Today is Mayflower Day. It celebrates the day that the Mayflower sailed from Plymouth, England, bound for the New World with 102 passengers. The ship was originally headed for Virginia  but stormy weather and navigational errors forced the Mayflower well off course.
