In the book John Lazell of Hingham, MA & Some of His Descendants it says that Desdemona was born 12 Feb. 1851. Her parents were married in 1849 and she had an younger brother, Odell born in 1853. So it seems very plausible that she was in fact born in 1851. She died on 5 March 1931 in Fillmore, Allegany Co., NY. She was buried at White Cemetery in Rushford, NY.
