Served in the US Army during the Spanish American War with the New Jersey volunteers. He returned from that service with a lung impediment which later contributed to his early death. George was a carpenter. He died on 19 April 1912 in Newburgh, Orange Co., NY. He was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, Orange Co., NY. When George died, he left 5 minor children. Thomas was living with Mrs. Felix Kramp in Newburgh. Percy was living with Mrs. Jennie Larrity in Roseton, NY. Violet was living with Mrs. Sophia Force in Newburgh. Gladys, George and Addison were living at the Children's Home in Newburgh. Later Gladys was living with Ida Curry, 105 E. 22nd St., New York City. Addison was called Adrian in his father's estate.
