86. John R. Wilklow was born about 1848 in Little Falls, Passaic Co., NJ. John enlisted in Co. H, 2nd N.J. Cavalry on Sept. 9, 1864 in Elizabeth, N.J. and he was discharged June 29, 1865 near Vicksburg, Mississippi. On his war records, he was described as 5 ft. 4 in. with blue eyes, light hair and a ruddy complexion. Enlisted in the Army on Oct. 25, 1867 at Jersey City, NJ. In this record he is described as a boatman and has gray eyes, dark hair and fair complexion. He is listed as 5' 6 and 3/4 inches tall. He was discharged on 25 Oct. 1870 at Fort Brason? in Texas. The family was living in Elmo, Kaufman Co., Texas in 1888 and in McCoy, Kaufman Co. in 1892. He died in Texas. He was buried at Hallow Cem. in Alsa, VanZandt Co., TX.

John R. Wilklow and Anna Seagraves were married on 10 December 1876 at Methodist Episcopal Church in Ellis Co., TX. Anna Seagraves was born in July 1845 in Tennessee. She died in Texas. She was buried at Hooker Cem. in Lone Oak, Hunt Co., TX.
