426. Addison Wilklow was born on 13 June 1907 in Newburgh, Orange Co., NY26 as Adrian Whitlow. He was adopted by Rev. William R. Williams and he changed his name to Addison Wilklow. Addison bought part of lot 33 in Marlboro in Sept. 1938. He was from 1964 to 1981 the caretaker of Mt. St. Mary College. He lived in Balmville, Orange Co., NY between 1964 and 1981. Addison died on 9 March 2002 in New Paltz, Ulster Co., NY. He was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Newburgh, Orange Co., NY.

ADDISON WILKLOW SR. Marlboro, N.Y.

Addison Wilklow Sr. of Marlboro, a self employed fruit grower and a life long resident of the area, died Saturday, March 9, 2002, in New Paltz. He was 94. The adopted son of Dr. Leighton Williams and Nellie Williams, he was born June 13, 1907, in Newburgh. He was married to his beloved wife, Beulah R. Hunter Wilklow. She predeceased him July 27, 1986. Survivors include two sons, Addison Wilklow Jr. and his wife, Virginia, of Marlboro and William Wilklow and his wife, Betsy, of Marlboro; one brother, George Wilklow of Vero Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be private and at the convenience of the family. Funeral services will be private for family members only. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh. Beulah Hunter Wilklow of Marlboro a longtime area resident died unexpectedly Sunday July 27 at her home. She was 74. The daughter of the late George and Catherine Hunter, she was born Aug. 10, 1911 in Monroe. Mrs. Wilklow attended the Christ Church Marlboro. Survivors include her husband Addison Wilklow, at home, two sons William and Addison Jr, both of Marlboro, on brother Jack Hunter of Umitila, FL, five grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
