“When Will I See You Again’ was a worldwide hit for The Three Degrees in 1974. The trio was formed about 1963. Over the years there have been 16 women that were a part of the group. When this song was released Sheila Ferguson sang the lead, accompanied by Fayette Pinkney and Valerie Holiday. Ferguson quit the group in 1986 and Pinkney died in 2009.

The group has always been more popular overseas than in the US. It appears they last toured in 2022 and all their concerts were in the UK and Japan.

The song got up to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the week of Dec. 8 – 14. It was on the top of the Cash Box Top 100 chart for the week of Dec. 1 – 7, 1974.
