This song is listed as being by Wings but it was a time when members of the group was changed. “Listen to What the Man Said” is credited to both Paul and Linda McCartney. It was recorded in New Orleans and had Dave Mason as guest guitarist.  After it was recorded it seemed like it was missing something so they had saxophonist Tom Scott come in and record. He recorded his part a few times but they used his very first take.

The song was on the top of the Cash Box chart for the week of July 6 – 12. Then it was at #1 on the Billboard chart for the week of July 12 – 19.

The video is real nice as it show Paul, Linda and their family from that time.
