The next RootsTech Conference in Salt Lake City is scheduled for March 5 – 7, 2026. If you are planning to go there you should reserve a hotel room now. The last time I went the hotel room was the most expensive item. Also you can book your flight now. If you are making the trip, plan at least a day before or after the Conference to visit the Family History Library. They are usually closed on Sundays but I think they MAY be open the Sunday after the Conference.

If you make the trip to the Conference you will have an additional 250 sessions to sit in on. Plus you get to see all those genealogy vendors in the Expo Hall. Those are well worth the trip. My best tip is wear some good shoes as you will be walking a lot. Also the trolley system is free in downtown.

You can register for the free online sessions now. There will over 200 sessions that you can view in the comfort of your home. Those sessions will be on many different genealogy topics. On the registration form you can check a box to receive future notices about events.
