Hit Songs of 1975 – #48

The second hit song by KC and the Sunshine Band in 1975 was “That’s the Way (I Like It).” The song was written by Harry Wayne Casey (KC) and Richard Finch the group’s bass player. It was on the top of the Cash Box chart for three weeks (Nov. 23 – Dec. 13. On the Billboard chart it was at #1 for the week of Nov. 16 – 22. Then it was knocked off the top spot by “Fly Robin, Fly.” But it managed to get back to #1 for the week of Dec. 14 – 20.

The group had a good string of hits it the late 70s. As disco faded they would break up in 1984. KC made  a big comeback and tours a lot with new members in the band. They do Disco cruises and a lot of concerts at casinos. On Feb 19th they will be at Fallsview Casino Resort in Niagara Falls, Ontario. You can buy tickets from the group’s website. If traveling to Canada from the US you may be refused entry if you don’t have proof of citizenship. They prefer a passport or US enhanced driver’s license.
