Last week I scanned 3 different things.

First, was Ninety One Flashbacks, the 1991 yearbook for Churchville-Chili Middle School. I have been scanning yearbooks for many years but only had a couple of ones for middles schools. Then in the last year I have found more from middle schools around the County. This one was for sale at ReHouse which mostly sold old house parts. They closed permanently last week.

The Churchville-Chili Middle School had grades 6 -8 in 1991 but now they have grades  5 – 8 at the school with 1,156 students.

I scanned a 1898 catalog for Green’s Nursery Co. That is a nursery company that doesn’t get recognition in Rochester history but they were formed in 1870 and existed until the 1940s. I previously scanned their 1937 catalog. In this one from 1898 they have some very long descriptions of the fruits that they are selling. Lastly, I scanned a program for “St. Mary’s Follies – Looking Good” which was given March 16 & 17, 1984 at Our Lady of Mercy High School. The proceeds for this program went to support the Seton Ambulatory Center at St. Mary’s Hospital. That was a surgery where patients would go in as “Out-patients” and return home the same day. That was new at that time and happens a lot more often today.
