Online Genealogy Fair

Tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct 25th there is a free set of genealogy talks by the US National Archives. Just go to this web page to view those talks. They start at 10 a.m. (eastern time) and continue until 4 p.m. If you miss the live broadcast, the talks will be available to view the next day on the National Archive’s YouTube page.

This is the schedule of talks:

  • 10:00 a.m. – Opening Remarks by Archivist of the United States of America David S. Ferriero.
  • 10:05 – Taking Care of your Family Heirlooms; proper storing of books, paper, photographs, etc.
  • 11:00 – 19th Century Ancestors in Tax Assessment Records (federal tax rolls)
  • 12:00 p.m. – From the Cradle to the Grave: Birth, Childhood, and Death in the National Archives at St. Louis
