\"\"The biggest thing that I scanned last week was what I call the Sesquicentennial Press Package<\/a><\/strong>. It is a folder with 10 different fliers from the 150th anniversary of the City of Rochester in 1984. They vary greatly in size and detail. The largest item is a fancy calendar of events. Some events are on every flier and a couple are specific, like the program for the “Ball.” Note that one thing is the music for the Sesquicentennial song. I can’t remember if I heard that in 1984 or not.<\/p>\n

On Oct. 23rd there was a dedication of a memorial to the forgotten people buried in the Public Grounds in Mt. Hope Cemetery.\u00a0 I was going to scan it but I needed permission from Dr. Ryan Thibodeau who was the head of the dedication committee. Not only did he give me permission to share the flier<\/strong><\/a> but he also sent a graphic of the memorial. That memorial is shared on+ a picture page<\/strong><\/a>. The local TV stations also did an interview with Dr. Thibodeau. I pulled out my phone and recorded this video<\/strong><\/a> that is on YouTube. It a slightly shaky and you may have to turn up the volume..<\/p>\n
