It was written by Hoyt Axton and David Jackson but Ringo made it his own. It got up to #3 on the <em>Billboard<\/em> Hot 100 chart for two weeks (March 30 &#8211; April 12). On the\u00a0<em>Cash Box<\/em> top 100 list it made it all the way to the top for the week of March 30 &#8211; April 5. It also was on the top of the <em>RPM<\/em> list in Canada.<\/p>\n<p>In the song, the narrator meets a woman from Colombia who offers him marijuana; a woman from Spain, who offers him cocaine; and a man from Nashville, who offers him moonshine. The narrator declines all of them, saying that they are bad for his health<\/p>\n<p>Ringo is 84 years old and recently released his 21st album, <em>Look Up<\/em>. This album has all country songs.
