From now to Dec. 7th you can do a free search on the MyHeritage of their approx. 26,000 city directories. Those are dated from 1860 to 1960. Those usually include a person’s name, occupation and address. Sometimes there are deaths recorded.
You MAY have to create a free account on MyHeritage. I have had the free account for years so I can’t tell if you need the free account or not. There is no need to pay for a “Premium” (paid) account on MyHeritage as through the year they have these free weekends of various record types.
The directories have been OCR’d and have some mistakes in character recognition. I found one name, “Whittington Mary Miss” that the OCR said was “Xxliittington Alary Aliss.”
You can search the collection now until Dec. 7.
Update (minutes later)
I just noticed that MyHeritage put together records with the same name. For one man, it has his directory records from 1935 to 1942 all together on one page.
