The background singers are Carl Wilson and Bruce Johnston of The Beach Boys and Toni Tennille of The Captain and Tennille. The vocal arrangements were by Bruce Johnston.
The song got up to #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for two weeks (July 21 – Aug. 3). It was on the top of the Cash Box Top 100 chart for the week of July 28 – Aug. 3. It was also a #1 in Canada. In the UK it only got up to #16.
