Original Holy Ghost Church

I uploaded 100 Years, a booklet with the history of Holy Ghost Church in Coldwater (Town of Gates). It was issued for the centennial of the church in 1976. This church was originally in what was a rural area but now could be considered a suburb.

The picture is of the original church. The parish constructed a nice big church of Medina sandstone in 1906. From the early years they also had a church school. There is a cemetery across the street from the church.

The church had been suffering from lower attendance and closed at the end of June. It will be for sale.

I might not be scanning anything for 2 or 3 weeks. I am trying to finish a project for the Monroe Co. GenWeb that I have been working on for a l–o–n–g time.
