Old News – McCurdy’s, Long Ridge

This article is about the beginning on Long Ridge Mall which was going to be built next to Greece Towne Mall. Wikipedia says that Long Ridge Mall opened in 1969.  This article proves that reference wrong. as it says that construction would begin later in 1969. Further research shows that Long Ridge officially opened on Sept. 15, 1971 with 39 stores and kiosks. By March 1972 there were 55 stores within the mall. I edited the Wikipedia listing to add the new information.
