MCC 1966 Yearbook +

Up until now I haven’t had any yearbooks for Monroe Community College. Bill S. lent me his Recall 1966 to be scanned. In this yearbook Freshmen are grouped by their major. The group in the picture are Dental Hygienist students.

The Seniors have standard portraits, except I noticed that all the ladies seem to be wearing the same dress. The men seem to be in various colored suits.

MCC was founded in 1961. They had their first classes in fall 1962. At first they occupied the former East High School on Alexander Street. The campus in Brighton opened in fall 1968. The Damon City Campus opened in 1992. In 1997 the Applied Technologies Center opened on West Henrietta Road. The Damon City Campus moved into a building that was formerly part of Kodak Office in 2017.

Once I had one MCC yearbook scanned I tried to find other ones that might be online. I found the one for 1968 on FamilySearch. Then I found that ones from 1963 to 1971 are on a SUNY archive web page. Links to those are on the Yearbook Page. Interesting is that they had a 1963 yearbook but didn’t have any students graduate until 1964.
