The Jackson 5 broke on to the record charts in 1970 with “I Want You Back.” The song was written by The Corporation which was Berry Gordy and a few others writers at Motown.

It was said that Diana Ross discovered the Jacksons but if fact they had made auditions for Motown before Diana had ever heard the group. They would have fantastic success in 1970 and for a few years. They ended being in a Saturday morning cartoon series. As Michael and Jermaine would leave to become single artists the group became The Jacksons. Their last tour was 2012-3.
