We start the new year with two issues of employee news.

First, is a magazine from Rochester Gas and Electric. This one is different than their usual issues. Year Book and Gas & Electric News (March 1937) tells the accomplishments of the company in the year 1936. It includes some charts and financial information but also includes a lot of pictures of company stores and production sites. On page 63 it notes that they sold 401 gas powered refrigerators. Nowadays you would only find one of those in an RV. On page 20 is a before and after of a kitchen update. The next to the last page is a map showing the territory where the company provides gas and/or electric service.

The other new booklet is special edition of the Rochester Telephone News Letter from 1971. It celebrates the 50th anniversary of the company. It is only 16 pages but gives you a feel of how the company progressed over the years. It has some employees telling about their jobs and some reminiscing about their time at the company.
