Roberts Wesleyan – 1926

I scanned the The Chesbronian 1926 yearbook. Back in 1926 the college was called A. M. Chesbrough Seminary and Junior College but it is now Roberts Wesleyan College University. They called the college students Freshman and Sophomores. Those students all have individual photos.

Also they ran a high school. The Churchville Chili School District now covers the students in that area. But before 1950 it appears that the only high school in Chili was the one at Chesbrough. It appears that they had less than 15 students in each of grades 7 – 12. The Senior HS class in 1926 only had 10 graduates.

Look at how small the school basketball and baseball teams are. They just barely had enough students to field a team. They did have a girl’s basketball team which is amazing for that time.
