Potpourri

I added a lot of small items to the website last week. There is probably one or two that you may be interested in.

First is Stereo Photography in Rochester, New York up to 1900 by Robert Penn Fordyce. This is a good reference to figure out dates of those old stereoviews. It also shows me that there were a lot more early views taken of Rochester than I thought. This was from 1975 and doesn’t have a copyright notice so I was able to scan it.

The Pathfinder is the student magazine from Washington Junior High School in Rochester. It has news, stories, poems, and sports. I already had one issue and now add these three:
Feb. 1926.
Jan. 1927.
June 1928.

The Rochester General Hospital Newsletter is from July 1965. In this issue there is a picture of some new interns and two pages of Eddie Meath bringing toys to sick kids in the hospital

The program for “Coco” stars Katharine Hepburn. It was given at the Auditorium Theatre  from Feb. 16 to Feb. 20, 1971. There are two more shows starring Ms. Hepburn on the Theater Programs page.

The program for “Disraeli” is a play that was at West High School in Rochester, NY; Jan. 13 – 14, 1922. It is just 4 small pages.

Then I scanned the Kodak Vigilant Six-20 Manual, (dated Aug. 1947). That is a camera that was sold by Kodak from 1939 to 1949 and priced at $38. The Kodak Tourist Camera Manual, (dated Jan. 1948) is for a camera that was only made from 1948 to 1951. It was priced at $95. Both of these cameras were the folding type and both used size 620 film which made good prints.

Lastly, I added 7 pages to the existing collection of Recipes from Trudy McNall (1957 – 59.). She had a cooking show on WROC TV in the early days of TV.
