I updated my Yearbooks Web Page with a lot more links. People from FamilySearch have been digitizing the collection of yearbooks at Rochester Public Library. There are currently over 900 of those yearbooks on FS. I  added links to all the yearbooks they have avaialble. The FS people are not done digitizing the yearbooks yet, so there will be more to come by the end of the year.

It is important that you sign in to FS before you click on the the links on my web page. I did include a link to the sign in page in the header of my web page. If you don’t sign in, the link will open on the general “FamilySearch Digital Library” web page. Sometimes even after signing in you may still get that “FS Digital Library” page. In that case, click on my link a second time and it should open the yearbook.

Besides being able to view the yearbook on FS, you can download either a page or the whole yearbook as a JPEG or PDF.

I found a few mistakes on FS. A few of the Charlotte HS yearbooks are listed as “Witain” instead of “Witan.” Oen of their links doesn’t open a high school yearbook but a military book. I probably have some wrong links too as I am not perfect.

My yearbook web page has links to free online yearbooks. There are some on Ancestry that I don’t include because it is a subscription service. I also don’t have links to yearbooks on Classmates. They are just plain annoying by continuously trying to get you to upgrade.
