I added some new pictures to the Monroe County GenWeb that you might want to see.
- Historical highway marker for Historic Parma Corners was taken by Bill Sauers.
- Historical highway marker for the Great Fire of Hilton was also taken by Bill Sauers. It commemorates the historic fire in 1965 that destroyed a good share of the business district.
- A marker in downtown Rochester says it is for Monroe County but actually it is about the three County courthouses. That has two photos taken by me.
- I also took a photo of the atrium in the County Office Building.
- While I was in the County Office Building I took a photo of the Old Mill Stones that are mounted to the wall on the second floor. It is said that they are the mill stones used in the mill run by Ebenezer Allan in the early 1800s.
- From the 1910s is a postcard of St. Jerome’s RC Church in East Rochester.
- A postcard that is postmarked in 1914 has a “Bird’s Eye View” of Fairport.
I really don’t have any way to determine how many pictures I have on the GenWeb. Just go explore. You could start at the Main page and look at the categories.
