The October issue of City Magazine has a short article on the Stone Tolan house. It is the oldest house in Monroe County; or at least part of it is. The original part of the house is from 1792 when very few white people called western New York home. The photos in the online version of the magazine look much better than the print version.
The house is currently owned by the Landmark Society. They have made repairs over the years and have a plan to make more renovations to the property.
The picture of the interior is from an old postcard.
