Last week I scanned an index to Rochester Historical Society publications. It is officially titled Publication Fund Series, Volume 15, (1937). This is the index to their first 14 volumes. All together they ended up publishing 25 volumes from 1922 to 1949.

I previously hadn’t linked to the Historical Society’s publication but now I have added a section with their publications on the Online Book Page. I found that some of the Publication Fund Series are on the Internet Archive and some are on FamilySearch. A few were on both of the web sites. As indicated below, some of the later volumes on Internet Archive needed to be “borrowed” before you can view all the pages. Please make sure that you “Return” after you are done reading those volumes so someone else can read it.

The Society published 4 volumes that were titled Centennial History of Rochester, New York before the centennial of Rochester in 1934. In this index they are indexed as Volumes 10 – 13.

You have to know your Roman Numerals as in the index the volume is listed as Roman Numerals and then the page or pages are after that.

There is a lot of Rochester and Genesee region history in all these volumes that you should investigate.
