I went through links on the GenWeb of Monroe County and repaired all the links to other websites. It ended up being a few hundred changes but most of those were for what are called “redirects.” Those happen when you go to a web pages it actually sends you to another web page. Just the same, fixing all of those makes those links go a little faster, even if it is just a second or two. Some other websites seem to change the links to their individual pages often so I always end up having to make changes. Some web pages just disappear, never to be seen again.

I also updated chapters of the Genealogical Guide to Monroe County. Most were minor changes and some fixes to links in those chapters. You can either read the chapters online or save to your computer. Either way you can click on the links in those chapter and it will send you to other websites.
