The last top song of 1969 was “Someday We’ll Be Together” by Diana Ross & The Supremes. Actually Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong didn’t sing on the song. There were some other background singers. This would be the last released with Diana Ross. She would go on as a single act. The Supremes would continue but they would never have another #1 top hit song.

“Someday…” would be at the top of the Billboard Top 100 chart for the week of Dec. 21 – 27, 1969. Cash Box liked the song a little more as it was at the top of their chary for two weeks (Dec. 21 1969 – Jan. 3, 1970).
