The Jackson 5 are back with their second #1 hit of 1970. “ABC” was written by The Corporation (Berry Gordy, Freddie Perren, Alphonzo Mizell and Deke Richards). The song is considered one of the band’s signature songs. The Jackson performed the song on American Bandstand (February 21, 1970) and The Ed Sullivan Show (May 10, 1970) but neither of those version on YouTube have good sound quality. Instead the video is from the Jackson 5ive cartoon show that was one Saturday mornings.

“ABC” was the #1 song on the Cash Box Top 100 chart for just the week of April 19 – 25. On the Billboard Hot 100 chart it was at #1 for two weeks (April 19 – May 2).
