Here is a hit song by Jefferson Starship. You may remember that they started out as Jefferson Airplane but members left the group so after 1974 they became Jefferson Starship. By 1984 again many members had left and they became just Starship.
This song, “Miracles” was written by Marty Balin who was in Jefferson Airplane and had left that group. He came back in 1975 bringing this song with him. He is the lead singer on the song. You can hear Grace Slick doing background singing.
The song got up to #4 on the Cash Box chart for the week of Oct. 17 – 25. The next week it dropped to #5 and then the week of Nov. 2 – 8 it was back to #4. On the Billboard chart it go up to #3 for 3 weeks (Oct. 12 – Nov. 1).
This video is the short version played on radio stations. The album version was about twice as long.
