Looking back at a news story like this about someone setting fires. you wonder if it was ever resolved. I did go through a couple of months of the newspaper looking to see if anyone was arrested for the crimes. You hope that someone would have gotten arrested but I couldn’t find any conclusion.

Arsonist plagues Greece fire fighters
Four fires, thought to be touched off by an arsonist. plagued Greece fire fighters this past weekend.
The Greece-Ridge fire department responded to fires at 825 English Rd. where a barn was destroyed on Friday, 1118 Long Pond Rd. on Saturday, where an abandoned house was partially destroyed, and on Sunday to a barn fire at 923 English Rd. and at 491 Elmgrove Rd. where a storage shed was heavily damaged.
Police are looking for a maroon, Pontiac GTO convertible which was reported seen near one of the fires before and after it started.
Bill Muthig received second degree burns at the Long Pond fire where a ceiling fell on him.
Owner of the 923 English Rd. property was working less than 300 feet away from his barn when a passing motorist warned him of the fire. Along with the heavy damage to the barn, a late model auto and several pieces of garden equipment were destroyed.
The latest fire destroyed much of a storage shed behind Warner and Ehmann Flooring Co. in Elmgrove Rd. The structure was shared with the William H. Archer Corp. who housed hay, straw and wood products for farm supplies business was destroyed along with a truck. The fire also claimed carpeting, hardwood flooring and carpet padding.
A fifth fire was reported to the west of Greece at 5310 Ridge Road West, Spencerport, on Friday evening.
