Paul McCartney wrote the song “My Love” about his wife Linda. They had been married since 1969. She is singing back-up on the song. Linda ended up dying of breast cancer in 1998 at aged 59.

This was a time when the group was billed as Paul McCartney and Wings. Linda was part of group sometimes playing keyboards. Denny Laine played lead guitar for the group and also sang back-up. Other members of the group seemed to changed every couple of years. They finally broke up in 1981.

“My Love” was at the top of both the Billboard Hot 100 and Cash Box Top 100 charts for 4 weeks (May 28 – June 23).
