Last week I scanned VoPro Yearbook, 1987-88. That yearbook is from what was then called the Vocational Technical Center. It would later be called BOCES 1. Now it is called Monroe One. It was and is a school for those students who want to take up a trade instead of going to college.

There are 8 pages on the Cosmetology program. They still have a program  in Cosmetology and students have to complete 1000 hours of training before they are eligible to take the NY Cosmetology Licensing Exam. The next largest curriculum was in “Food Trades” for which the student didn’t end up getting a license.

All the pages are kind of dark in this yearbook. I tried correcting them but failed.
