Band Practice

Last week I scanned two years from Brockport Middle School; 1973 and 1974. That school is now named the A. D. Oliver Middle School. It is the 3 story building that used to be the High School so some student will have to go up and down stairs. Most of the building was built in 1934 with additions from 1956 and 1996. It houses grades 6 – 8.

There isn’t a name for the yearbook; just “Yearbook.” They belonged to a former teacher. He let students write in the 1973 yearbook. That was kind of dangerous but I didn’t see anything inappropriate. They isn’t any writing in the 1974 yearbook.

In the 1973 yearbook the 8th graders have individual pictures  but their names are listed on pages 45 – 47. Grades 6 & 7 have group photos by homeroom but without any names. In the 1974 all three grades are in groups by homeroom. Only grade 8 has names but the names are just a list and it is hard to figure who is who.
