In the mid 1980s I was living in a house with 3 apartments in East Rochester. Someone new moved into the apartment in the rear of the house. After about a month I started hearing CB talk on my TV. It took a few days to figure out it was coming from the rear apartment. They didn’t have a shield on their CB radio and that was causing it to be received on my TV. Listening to was just a one side conversation I figured out they were trying to sell things on the CB channels. That was supposedly illegal and I very much think what they were selling was stolen goods.

I went to the East Rochester police department and made a report. Just a few days later they quickly moved out of the apartment. Don’t think they were ever arrested. At least I didn’t hear the CB talk anymore on my TV.
